Situation
In an ever more competitive environment, Hilton depends on a workforce that can think and act strategically. As part of a major initiative, Digitec worked with Hilton corporate to create the Drive Results learning experience – a multi-faceted learning design.
Solution
Digitec designed and produced a blended learning experience that includes:
Completing pre-work: a series of self-paced elearning modules, which includes a simulation module, so learners can apply the concepts to solve the storyline introduced in the earlier modules.
Set up teams and compete: Digitec designed and developed the mobile app for learners to log in, create teams, assign a team leader and access simulations to propose solutions to the problem at their fictional hotel.
Face off in the “Shark Tank”: The app includes a business leader login to access each team’s presentation and provide scoring and feedback.
Results
The solution integrated with the Hilton LMS and their scheduling system. The blended design enables learners to come to the event ready to learn and able to demonstrate mastery within their teams…and have a fun, social learning experience.
