Digitec Interactive is looking for an experienced and passionate software engineer with experience leading engineering efforts for full stack web-based SaaS applications. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in learning and building onto existing application codebases, as well as improving existing systems and spearheading the development of new applications and product features.
In this role, you will be the technical lead for the company’s SaaS Learning Management System, and your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new features and improvements to the platform
- Debugging and fixing issues with the platform
- Managing a product backlog based of client feedback and feature requests as collected by Digitec staff
- Managing releases to production servers
Requirements:
- Strong experience in PHP language
- Strong experience with JavaScript Framework experience, notably AngularJS and Redux design patterns
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience with OO design
- General knowledge of web servers, specifically LAMP stack web applications
- Experience with SQL
- Comfortable improving upon existing codebase
- Experiencing working with and developing REST APIs
- Working with MVC Design patterns
Nice to Have:
- Strong UI development skills, specifically mobile-first design and ADA best practices
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSql databases
- Understanding of Apache and NGinx configurations
- Experience AWS and Terraform
- Experience with software dependency manager tools like Composer and NPM
- Webkit and Grunt
- CSS and CSS Preprocessors like Sass/Less
- CI/CD experience, e.g., Jenkins or Gitlab CI/CD capabilities
- Web application server infrastructure
- Experience in refactoring applications
- Automated testing
